My views on literal and liberal translation
Thesis Statement:
Practically there are two kinds of translation. One is literal translation and the other is the free translation. In fact, the methods are both necessary and each has its merits and defects. Sometimes one may use the method of literal translation, sometimes that of free translation, and sometimes both of them must be employed together. We can hardly say which is preferable.
Outline:
I. Introduction
Two methods of translation.
Ⅱ、What is literal translation?
1. The definition of literal translation.
2. Two problems needed to pay attention.

②Rigid translation.
Ⅲ、What is liberal translation?

2. Two problems needed to pay attention.
①Create randomly.
②Confused translation.
Ⅳ、Translate literally, if possible.
1. The advantage of literal translation.
2. Two wrong phenomena must be prevented.
Ⅴ、Translate liberally, if literal translation can not be used.
1. The limitation of literal translation.
2. The advantage of liberal translation.
